Now enrolling for FREE ECCE pre-school places

The scheme entitles children who fall between the age brackets stated below to a free pre-school year as outlined by the OMYCA.

Two Options

Option A - Your child is entitled to 3 free hours per morning, 5 mornings / afternoons per week, over 38weeks (running alongside the school terms) FREE

Option B - Your child is entitles to 2hours 15minutes free per day, 5 days per week, over 50 weeks (full time / part time care) FREE

Birth Dates for eligibility to ECCE

Children who are eligible for entry to the scheme on January 1st 2010 have birth dates from 2nd February 2005 to 30th June 2006. Eligibility dates for the scheme starting September 1st 2010 are 2nd February 2006 to 30th June 2007. Please note that children born between 2nd February 2006 and 30th June 2006 are eligible for entry in both January and September 2010 but you must decide which free pre-scheel year you wish to avail of as only one free pre-school year applies.

Teachers

All Pre-School room leaders for the ECCE scheme must hold the FETAC Level 5 Major Award in Childcare, or have this award completed by September 2012. Funbugs Childcare boasts a FETAC Level 5 holder in our ECCE Montessori classroom, as well as being a fully qualified Montessori teacher. Our second teacher in the room is also a fully qualified Montessori teacher.

ECCE / School Holidays

Children attending on option A (38weeks) are funded for school terms only. January - June 2010 term ends on Friday June 25th.

Rathmore National School holidays are as follows (all dates are inclusive):

Mid term Break: 18th & 19th February

Easter Holidays: 1st - 9th April
